A wedding day is so much more than simply a ceremony and some posed photos, the whole day is full of amazing & real moments. Your wedding is special and unique, and we want to capture it for you. We have different packages and are happy to customise an offer for you.
We like to keep our pricing pretty straight forward and can capture as much of the day as you'd like - from getting ready until you leave the reception and anywhere in between. We also highly suggest having an engagement session with us before the wedding. It gives you a chance to get to know us and feel comfortable in front of the camera. We will take pictures in a fun environment without any stress.
While we are based in Wellington, New Zealand, we offer our wedding photography services all over the country, and even overseas. If you are looking at having a destination wedding, ask us how we can help - we might just be able to offer you something special.
We know that every couple is different, and so we like to be flexible, so we can customise a package according your needs & budget. If you have any other questions or queries, please get in touch and let us know how we can help.

How would you describe your photography style?
We have a documentary style approach to photographing your wedding day. Here’s what documentary means to us and how it forms how we approach your day: Capturing real and honest moments as they happen, without interfering or controlling your day in any way - however direction will be given when it is needed, such as during the formal photos. Instead of making you pose it up in a paddock for hours, I think it’s more important for you to spend that time with your family and friends while we are being non-intrusive, but not invisible.
We hate posing! How do you handle portrait photos and make us feel comfortable?
If you're just after some relaxed portraits, you’ll only need to be away from your guests for about 30-45 minutes - we know you'd much rather be with them (that’s ok we don’t take offense). To save time, the portraits will be taken at your ceremony or reception venue, or somewhere very close by. This short portrait session is a bit more hands-on than the rest of the day. Don’t worry though, we aren't fans of overly-posed and cheesy wedding photos either. We believe that pretty much everybody looks their best when they are feeling relaxed and have lots of little tricks up our sleeve to make you feel comfortable and get you laughing and smiling naturally. We get you focusing on each other rather than the camera.
When is it the best time to have portrait photos taken?
While the light might be at its best and most flattering just before sunset, we know that this is when you are most likely to want to be with your guests. So, although most couples have most of their formals taken between the ceremony and reception, we like to recommend that you schedule in about 15 minutes during 'golden hour' (take a looke here for times -www.timeanddate.com) for one short set of pictures we promise will be worth it.
Do you photograph same sex weddings?
Yes absolutely. We support marriage equality and will photograph all weddings.
When do you turn up and when do you leave?
The full day coverage starts from when hair and make-up are being done, right through until after the formalities at your reception. Half day coverage is discussed with you to ensure we cover the parts important to you.
Are the files retouched?
Yes, the images are edited, which including colour correction and light skin retouching if required.
How do you approach family photos?
We know you've invited everyone to celebrate with you because they're important to you both. Photos of family and friends are important and we make an effort to ensure we get pictures of as many of your guests as possible. We like to include a short session shortly after the ceremony to take group photos as well. We highly recommend that you prepare a list and nominate someone with a loud voice to organise everyone to make sure it goes smoothly!
How many photos will we receive?
The number of photographs taken depends on many things - the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events, hours of dancing, and so forth. Our average for an eight hour day is about 600 images, but those numbers may vary depending on the day itself. If you have questions about image quantity, please get in touch and we'll be happy to answer any questions.
What do we do if it rains?
Firstly – don’t stress! Photos in the rain can actually be quite nice. Naturally if it’s a typical horrible windy, wet Wellington day, we aren't going to make you stand in the rain, though we can if you want to :) Most venues have some lovely indoor locations we can take advantage of, and we always scout our venues before-hand looking spots useable even in bad weather. However, if it’s just spitting and the weather isn't too bad, then we have umbrellas. Trust me, photos in the rain are lovely.
How to make the most of having our photos taken?
We like to meet with our clients before the day to find out a bit more about you and what you like in your photos. This is a good time to let us know how comfortable, or uncomfortable, you are in front of a camera, etc. We also highly recommend an engagement session, as this gives everyone a chance to get to know each other and have some fun. If you're still feeling a little anxious, let us know as we can give you lots of information prior to the day so we can get the best results.
